How to prepare level c1 of the DELE exam

What accredits the level C1 of the Dele Exam

The C1 level of the DELE Exam certifies that the student is able to manage with ease. In this way, it demonstrates that it is capable of processing a great variety of texts, both oral and written, to a certain extent, in any variant of the language. In other words, it recognizes attitudes and intentions.

It expresses that it is capable of handling itself with fluency and spontaneity, without need of effort.

In addition to that, the C1 level certifies that the student is able to find the appropriate expression for the situation and the context, whether it is framed in the social, work or academic environment. Level C1 also proves that the student has a flexible and effective use of the language. In this way, they know how to make complex texts and have mechanisms of organization and cohesion that allow for improved articulation.

Parts of level C1 of the DELE Exam

  • Part 1: Reading Comprehension and Language Use.

This first test consists of 5 tests. The student has 90 minutes to answer 40 items. The maximum score you can achieve in this part is 25 points.

  • Part 2: Listening comprehension and use of language.

The student has 50 minutes to carry out 4 activities. In total there are 30 items and the maximum score that can reach is 25 points.

  • Part 3: Integrated skills: listening comprehension and written expression and interaction.

In this part the student has 80 minutes to do 2 tasks. Task 1 refers to listening comprehension and written expression and Task 2, written expression or interaction. The maximum score you can achieve in this part is 25 points.

  • Part 4: Integrated skills: Reading comprehension and oral expression and interaction

The student will have 20 minutes of presentation on a relevant topic.

The student will have 20 minutes of preparation on a topic and, once the 20 minutes are exceeded, will have a conversation with the interviewer.

After this, the third part will focus on having an informal conversation: negotiation. The maximum score you can achieve in this part is 25 points.
