Chamberí area, where Academia Contacto is located, is a very complete and attractive neighborhood.
The best of school
We love it and hope you will too! Here we leave you some of the aspects that we like the most:
Its traditional and elegant atmosphere: Chamberí preserves a traditional Madrid vibe that makes it unique. Its stately buildings, its squares and its tree-lined streets give it a special touch. In addition, many of its bars and restaurants have a classic style that differentiates them from other more modern areas. Feel free to explore the area after your morning Intensive Spanish Course!
Also, you can find coffee and pastries-oriented shops open since early morning. The variety of bars and restaurants in Chamberí is impressive. There are options for all tastes, from the most traditional tapas bars to the most innovative international cuisine restaurants for dinner with classmates or friends. In addition, the Chamberí Market is a perfect place to buy fresh products and enjoy local cuisine, if you are staying in one of our Shared flat accommodations, where you can cook your own healthy meals.
As regards quality of life, Chamberí is a very quiet and safe neighborhood, with many parks and green areas, such as the Parque de Santander and the Pablo Sorozábal Gardens. In addition, it is very well connected by public transport, which makes it easy to get around the entire city. But if you enjoy walking, you can also go to the central area on foot, and it won’t take more than 45 minutes.
In summary, Chamberí seems to us to be a very complete neighborhood that offers the best of Madrid: tradition, culture, gastronomy and quality of life. It is an ideal place to live, work or simply have a pleasant time. We are fortunate to have our two school buildings on the quiet Raimundo Lulio street, where we receive students from all corners of the world. We love that long-term students feel the neighborhood as their own after spending several months there. As the popular saying goes: ¡de Madrid al Cielo! (from Madrid to heaven!).
